Proprietor's Reserve

This is the cream of the crop. Dad and I do backbreaking work all year round deleafing, debudding, green harvesting, hand harvesting, transported in cases of less than 40 kg, hand sorting, work by gravity, barrel vinified, punched down twice daily, and aged appropriately in new French oak from our favorite coopers. A barrel of 500 Liters will receive more attention in each the field, the winery and the lab than an entire vat larger than our entire annual production receives at many wineries.

"En 2005, ces nouveaux vignerons, qui se présentent comme 'une famille de trois Américains produisant des vins du Nouveau Monde issus des vignes de l'Ancien Monde', ont le coup de foudre pour le Cabardès et créent leur domaine. Ce premier vin à la robe sombre et profonde est une recherche de puissance. Le nez complexe dévoile des notes de sous-bois et de venaison, accompagnées de nuances torréfiées. En bouche, les tanins sont bien présents. Un vin de caractère à laisser viellir encore un peu."
